Elizabeth Styffe is the director of both the HIV Initiative and Orphan Care Initiatives at Saddleback Church. She is the pioneer and co-founder of these initiatives leading efforts both locally and globally through the PEACE Plan. She has helped develop tools for every church to engage its members and is helping churches launch effective ministries which are church-initiated, engaging ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things
Elizabeth helped launch and leads the network of churches in the web-based Purpose Driven HIV Caring Community at www.HIVandtheChurch.com and the orphan care resource which champions the church as God’s hope for the orphan at www.OrphansandtheChurch.com. In addition, she leads the Rwanda HIV/AIDS Healthcare and Rwanda Orphan Care Initiatives; strategic PEACE plan partnerships which exist to support indigenous church-initiated interventions which are sustainable and reproducible. Elizabeth’s passion is to mobilize the church to care for those who are HIV positive and to enable the church to care for orphans and vulnerable children in ways that get every believer out o f the pew and makes the local church the hero.
Married for 27 years, Elizabeth and her husband Glenn have seven children, three of whom were adopted from Rwanda.
